Teching raptor boost on ledge...

Is it just me, or does it feel like if falcon grabs someone on the ledge, he instantly dies if they tech and have a good fair? I haven't had it done to me much since most people fail to tech it on wiffy, and on vacation so no offline players. So like, how bad is this? Cause if it's as bad as i think it is, ganon has a 100-0 matchup at long fucking last. Can anyone play with this? |

I dont even know what YOUR talking about... but it's like this, if my theory is correct, then ganon can LET falcon raptor boost him while hugging the ledge, in exchange to tech the stage and fair him to oblivion.

Well, I think you mean Falcon's Raptor Dive (his up-b), and I have brought it up before that you essentially need to be facing someone who doesn't know how to tech to avoid getting faired with a Raptor Dive near the stage. But it's not particularly hard to tech it in Melee (look up "Do the Rockcrock" on Youtube), so that kind of happens at any stage in the game. Either Falcon has to live with an up-b backfire, or the trajectory should be changed so that he doesn't get a faceful of fair. |

Falcon can grab the ledge when facing the other way. Just do this and you should be fine.

The link that I posted was a rockcrock combo video. I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same thing, a Ganon letting Falcon Up-B him so he can hit him in return. I don't think that makes it a 100-0 matchup. It's true that when Falcon gets hit off the edge Ganon can do what I think you're talking about, but Falcon does have an improved recovery in Minus and he doesn't have any hard counters as far as I can tell.

I was trying to crush your spirit with the playfulness of an old man. It's easier the heavier you are. Snake, Ganon, Bowser seem to crush (Bowsers bair will kill Falcon from ~0 if it hits).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dseInVI2B...re=related you mean this one Karnith? never been hit by that kinda stuff... except I do remember getting ninjaed by a falco comp who made me paused in awe when he did it with a D-air instead... he teched the ledge and popped a Dair out of no-where on me and boom out the bottom I went. it was bloody brilliant. lol it's like one of you guys possessed him for a moment of something. -.- but yeah, dunno how you can really counter it except with luck (they don't tech, or not close enough) or being able to dodge out while he's still YESing... (and I think kirk did that (the Fair version not Dair version) on a falcon ditto vid he's got somewhere too. It had an OBJECTION joke in the comments for it too. lol) |
