Wii Coding Information Session
Thursday, January 3rd, 7:00pm (EST) http://twitch.tv/InternetExplorer6 (Follow if you don't want to miss it!) Happy New Year! I'm InternetExplorer, a developer for Project M since 2.0 was released. Now that 2.5 is out, you may be familiar with some of my work including Crew Mode, Audio Fade, and Stage Striking. Have you ever wondered what the process is like to write some of these codes? Well, now is your chance to find out first-hand, or even give it a shot yourself! ![[Image: LDtSK.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/LDtSK.jpg) This is what I stare at for hours. I will be streaming a live information session on Wii/Gamecube coding on Thursday, January 3rd at 7:00pm (EST) on my Twitch channel. During the session, I will be going over the basic procedure of writing codes for Wii/Gamecube games, focusing on Smash. I will make sure to explain everything at a basic level such that viewers with little or no programming experience can follow along. Since the session is live, you can even ask questions in the chat! Here are some topics I will be demonstrating:

Hopefully this will interest more people in coding for smash. If we have more people, there's a higher probability that someone will come up with really cool codes or solve current issues like how to code melee tethers into brawl. I have some programming experience, but I've never coded for smash even though I want to. Hopefully I'll be able to get started after watching this

To be honest, I would like to see a general expansion of interest rather than focusing on just Smash. Think about all the games out there that could find the magic touch of a coder. In fact, as the 2.5 frenzy diminishes, I'm going to start coding for Sonic Adventure 2, and hopefully port my work to the recent PC release.

This isn't just great for Smash Bros. hacking; it's great overall for people who want to get into programming like myself. Can't wait to watch it! How long will this go on for? |

It will probably last a couple hours max. Also, note that while the concepts are somewhat applicable, writing codes for Wii is very unlike traditional programming.
