Can somebody tell me how to deal with these three?

If you think he's missing something, clearly you're the one missing something. He's got just about everything in fact. And therefore, an answer to just about everything. He's above par in most things, but not amazing except much but having a great projectile and amazing combo game on most of the cast. Other than that, he's average or slightly above average in just about everything. That's what makes him great actually- he has very few weaknesses, and his weaknesses are generally less exploitable than other characters' weaknesses.

CC Marth and Sheik, grab Falco. There's no single answer for "how to deal with characters." There are broad overarching weaknesses for some matchups, but most come down to just outplaying your opponent. Just like, space bair and shit I guess. It would help if you said what problems you have with the matchup really. |

All these Marios expecting to CC something and then they get grabbed so that they can be CG'd and combo'd to death. Luckily, Sheik grabs aren't ultra-bad anymore, but it still hurts. Just like, space bair and shit I guess. ^This. Also, know your combo tree on floaties (Marth?), Sheiks, and fast-fallers (Falco). A grab should equal at least 30% if you're doing your stuff right. Also, all of these chars get edgeguarded for free (well...almost). Marth and Falco can be caped, Falco can be baired, and Mario can just take advantage of Sheik's situational recovery to throw her off time and time again. If she tries to needle you, cape 'em back!

Besides Sheik, these match-ups aren't even that hard for Mario. Falco: - Chaingrab his ass - Higher percents -> Grab -> uthrow or dthrow -> kill move - Gimp with bair or cape - Projectile camp with fireballs and cape his lasers Marth: - Projectile camp with fireballs - dthrow -> uair or utilt combos to regrab, rinse and repeat - Easy to ledgeguard with cape. If they sweetspot just read it and grab the ledge - Space with ftilts - Dair beats everything in the air |

I just thought that the act of reaching out with his leg could get him punished when hit by a disjoint as long as Marth's sword. Same goes with dair. Then again, I don't really play or understand Mario so I'm probably missing something... :/

All Mario need to do is camp Marth with fire balls Also I can just chain grab him because fireballs have doc's pill hitstun and the pill rush technique still exists. A good Mario knows to mix up his options if Mario does all of that he will win lol read my signature

Mario is fantastic, easily top tier. If your having trouble with those three I have one word for you. Cape. If that doesn't work then take it to the hole and dunk on the playa.

Mario has so many tools in P:M. Melee vets play him like Melee Mario or doc but Mario feels brand new in P:M and is much better. Fox honestly doesn't have much range but he's top tier in melee. Mario doesn't need super range. Also the OP was posted awhile ago. I can deal with Marth, Sheik, and Falco easily. The only thing I really think Mario needs left before the final release is Up b cancel (give the jump punch doc's power) and the down-b spike from 64. But anyways yeah.

I counter shiek with fireballs. Cause every shiek player I play who starts losing starts camping. So I use a lot of fire balls and spacing for that one. But it's still a hard mathcup

Btw Notably, on flat stages, Dr. Mario can perform the Pill Rush technique, by sending out multiple Megavitamins with a short hop; it acts as an extreme pressure option against opponents, forcing characters into the air. And Mario can CG a lot of characters. He can even CG Sonic

Short hops or full hops? I don't think megavitamins were that fast. I play quite a bit of Doc in Melee and I always have to FH and avoid FFing whenever I throw out pills. :/ Edit: Wait, do you mean multiple pills during one SH or multiple 'pill hops', as in series of one pill during one hop? |
