Better Crowd Reactions

Me and my brother had this idea. Could we make the game crowd reactions more awesome or hype-ish? We wanted to know if it could be like the tournament reacitons. Wombo Combos and such. Cause we feel that the smash bros. reactions in all the games have been quite lame. Whatcha' all think?

Made a thread about this a while ago.

Said something like, replace some sound clips with Waffle clips.

For example, when someone does a ridiculous combo and finishes with a kill have the crowd go OMG! OMG! THAT WAS AMAZING and such. And a team combo would definitely lead to a WOMBO COMBO!

Well that would require BRSAR editing, which is only supported by USB loaders and Riivolution, so it's not likely to happen any time soon.

The problem with this is that the PMBR seeks universally consistent releases across all mediums of loading the mod. The only way to currently do this is through Riivolution or a backup loader. This would leave Gecko and hackless users in the dust. There exists some limitations with working with things like the OP movie and SFX, for example.

Intentional ego boost maybe? Maybe not.

If it is possible on all ways to run PM, I wanna see some creativity!

I think it would be cool if the crowd was integrated more. Though I would be surprised if the crowd could make noises upon situation. For instance, the crowd would go nuts after a ken combo but not just for a regular down air spike.

Cheering should be based on how much damage is done in how much time. It's a simple mechanic that doesn't leave out characters with long, many hit combos with low damage per hit OR characters with short, few hit combos that deal lots of damage per hit. It's also not overly complicated or specific. Louder cheers for more dps.

That would make playing against Lucario stupid. A series and you're deaf...

I think name chanting should happen if someone gets a stock/point lead of 2 or something. Going any further than that seems to be putting too much effort into something the BR shouldn't spend a bunch of time on.

On respawn when your opponent has 1 stock, announcer says, "JV! YOU WON'T!"
