Why is this thread not here? Anyway, we need this. Just to talk about stuff, Falcon related of course. Also, how bout that utilt? Does anyone else find it useful?

Ya it is useful for edge guarding and poking (after spacing) through platform especially FoD

utilt? of course. Dtilt though...I have no idea when to use it. Does anyone transition from an aerial raptor boost to a grounded one? I can do it reliably to a small degree, but sometimes Falcon goes into his landing animation upon contacting an opponent; anyone know how or why..? |

Down tilt is good to use when following up a up-throw on fast falling characters. EX: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQysCmAm_G4 Look at combo 1 |

Daley beat me to it. Another use is when edge guarding if the opponent doesn't sweetspot the ledge, from either being bad or rushed from your pressure of edge guarding. It sets up for a Knee nicely, and it's pretty much a guaranteed stock near the ledge. |

Hey all, I've been using project m as a makeshift hacked melee to practice stuff in training mode and I had a question about Falcon's up-throw, does it push people higher than in melee? I noticed with Shiek I could consistently hit 5% earlier with up-throw full hop knee, around 68%( I know Shiek's can punish this with a nair or fair at such early percents, but it's more of when this becomes physically possible). |

Throw launch points are static in brawl and PM atm, while melee they release at a different height depending on the character. It is impossible to have throws that release above the floor match until that is changed. While it sends some characters higher it also most likely sends some characters lower/same as melee as well. |

I was wondering, on CF falcon punch, does it take more frames to execute if you reverse it after the punch is initiate?

Yes, it does take longer. My estimate is 7 frames, give or take.

Is it just me, or is falcon kick actually useful now? I've been using it like I would wizard's foot to great effect.

I feel like it has knockback now at low %s. In melee you'd have to get them to like 80% or so before decent knockback happened.

Anyone find it harder to perform a jump-cancelled grab?

Really? That's weird because i can do it in melee every-time, but for some reason, sometimes i execute the running grab instead of the jump-cancelled grab in Project M

Might be that all the other things with timings that are slightly off are causing you to subconsciously change the timing of all your muscle memory in order to cohesively compensate. That's just my guess though. I do know that JC grabs work exactly the same in P:M as in melee. EDIT: But now that I think about it I've never had this problem with Falco who is even more technically demanding. idk lol maybe it's just in your head. But why it would be in your head is beyond me. |

Happens to me as well, I just delay it by like 1 frame. Didn't know we had a Falcon thread. |

Does his falcon punch activate faster in PM than it does it melee? Cause i've been playing melee recently and i've never risked falcon punches. But when i went back to PM, i seem to be raping everyone with it.

Question: How if falcon doing in P:M 2.5? Does he feel more like melee? cause in 2.1 i personally felt that he didn't feel so. He seem clunky and off? how is he? |

I think I heard that they did do something that makes him feel more like Melee.
