I'd just like to point out that ganon got hit with a really big nerf in 2.1 He can no longer safely try and ganoncide or slam dunk opponents that are on platforms. They're too high up. If he misses... goodbye ganon. This applies to any side be that's a little bit high near the ledge. This is troublesome because that's a notable hunk of his game that's just poof gone. |

Remember that with this nerf came the same nerf to Fox, Falco, and uh that other one. Warf or something. |

Fox, Falco, Ganondorf, Captain Falcon, Wolf, and Ike all took somewhat of a dive from this. Part of my liked that they'd be safe, but the other part doesn't care because you should be punished for going for something that's going to put you in a bad position anyway. |

Also note that Ganon and Falcon can still edgehog with the moves, which is more than the others can, and a huge buff from Melee.

My issue is that it's something that I and I assume other ganons have been using for the last year. The applications for captain, fox and falco are significantly less crucial than they are for ganon. Ganon uses it to take stocks. Straight taking stocks like candy. The others would use it to...? Deal a minimal amount of damage? BW, the amount of lag you accrue is already enough to count as a "bad position". |

Falco and Captain Falcon could use it to side-B spike and still grab the ledge. Happened to me a few times against both characters. But Ganon's Choke-Slam is a suicide move that can kill someone even if they have 0% damage, so long as he can catch them off the edge. Before you could just get a stock ahead and find ways to force people off the stage and then choke slam, and you'll stay a stock ahead. I'm not saying that it was easy to do, but because of the nature of it, you should be punished for missing a move that guarantees you lose a stock, and getting punished by losing a stock by yourself seems like a fair punishment for missing an insta-kill move. |

Also, his recovery is more...Melee-like. Still doesn't change the fact that he's a stud. |

Making an appeal to melee just because it's melee doesn't sit well with me as an argument. As far as I am concerned, it only helps an argument, but it isn't one itself. However, BW's risk/reward argument has solid footing. I can't really beat it with my own. I am annoyed that I can't do what I've done for the past year+, but he has a point. clapclapclap |

I personally preferred them grabbing the edge. It was funny to edgeguard that way sometimes. It certainly gave them a nice tool.

They still can. At least, under normal circumstances

The only part of the move that needs a buff is that it needs to say "This games winner is... Ganondorf" when I get that last stock. Sure tournament rules I actually won the match, but not seeing my character just get the win is slightly disappointing. Course this is a stupid port priority thing and probably can't be fixed. |

I know that feel bro. Nothing hurts more than performing an epic ganocide and then losing the match due to port priority. When it happened to me I was like "what. Just what." |
