Wanting to add more music

I did a little exploring in the folder and I found the BRSTM files. I want to add some of my own custom music, but I'm not sure how. Is it as simple as putting the BRSTM files in the sound folder and renaming them for the stages, or do I need to do some editing in some of the other files first before I can add music?

I'm doing this on a hackless Wii, and yes, I already know about the thread:

I don't understand your problem if you know about that thread. You just name the file in accordance to the table on the OP and throw 'em into the folder.

Nope just download, rename, throw in folder. Easy peasy; even I can do it : P

O.K., I put in the songs, and they work great, but um, one question. How can I change the names of the songs on the menus in the game?

You need BrawlBox to change info.pac, info_training.pac, and mu_menumain.pac. You need to change the stuff inside miscdata 140 and 7.

Don't forget you may want to fill miscdata 160 with question marks or something similar to decrease the file size.

To elaborate, you basically want to replace messages that you'll never see so the file stays small. If it goes over a certain limit, you get a freeze.

O.K., so basically I need a program called BrawlBox to edit the .PAC files and I need to make sure to keep the file sizes small, right?

Brawlbox 0.63b The newer ones bloat the filesize.

I got the program and made the changes. Everything came out pretty good, no glitches or freeze-ups. Thanks for all the help, and sorry for asking so many questions -_-

Hey, so now I'm looking for a bit of related help, myself. I know how to add music obviously, but whenever I do there's a chance that the tracks become corrupted and play for a little while and then change to static. The track in question always plays fine on my computer but as soon as it's in game freaks out so I'm assuming it's an SD card issue. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Defrag your sd card.

I sometimes have this. I get this fixed whenever I move the file away from the card and back again.
