![]() This was posted by one of our friends on the facebook page. Saeed Incognegro Shareef Wrote:I'd like to give a big thanks everyone that's worked on brawl minus. I helped run an all night charity event for curing cancer on friday. The booth I was helping with was the University's gaming group. We had a few t.v's and consoles setup outside for people to pay to play. Initially I was just running vbrawl because I figured people would be kinda unwilling to play a modded version. For whatever reason my wii got cut off so I had to set it back up, and I ran brawl minus out of habit. I then decided that I'd give people a chance to check it out. Much to my surprise, All the students there that played video games (and even ones who didn't) could not stop playing brawl minus! They were extremely excited to see all the new changes and found all the portraits and characters hilarious! We eventually had a line of people donating money back to back just to get a few games of brawl minus! ^_^ |

Yeah, I'm really happy about this story. Doing good things with video games FTW. And I'm also glad to see that some people still like minus as well.

in similar news, I used Melee (and there was a P:M setup too) to run a tournament which raised over $500 for the cleveland food bank (which feeds homeless people and stuff) so yea. smash saves lives. |

I do believe you've rediscovered the arcade sales-model. Sean Malstrom would be proud. (at least, I THINK he would, since he's been saying that videogames don't need new business models contrary to what some developers keep saying) |
