I'll be updating the OPs as information comes in. This thread should be used for ideas and testing results for bowser. Videos are appreciated.

Proposed General Changes
What are we going to do about single pokemon vs. pt? I honestly don't know...

Short time would probably be more accurate-he has to switch more often. But if that happens, we should probably do wild pokemon. I'm honestly not 100% sure what to do here. However, as to the individual pokemon, ideas...

single pokemon sounds good. but then we'd have to fiddle with custom menu screens and then give them special down Bs so that they don't get changed out of and then give PT the flick. unless you want him to be a version where you get all of them. in which case you'd had to find a way to stop people from changing in the independant versions.... if independant versions is what you mean by wild...

I think Pokemon Trainer would work best if he's just kept as all 3. Greatly boosting the speed of Down+B to something so fast it'd be impossible to punish would really help this and make him that much more interesting to play/fight if he can switch tactics mid-fight...or mid-combo.

or perhaps you could make the down-B give minor crowd control damage for swapping out of combos and stuff... and yeah, a lot faster would help him a lot too. like double frame and change speed for it.

Actually, I'd just make his DownB take like 2 frames or something. :V

That sounds like a good idea. PT would have to use all of his pokemon. A lot. But we have to make sure that they each have a purpose and fill each other out. We can't make it so that squirtle is by far the best and using Ivy and Char is a chore. >.>

squirtle needs instant watergun and a little base knockback to it
withdrawl should have less startup lag and do more damage/knockback
more damage on dthrow

Ivy's bulletseed should be nonSDIable
bair should do 5% for each hit
less lag on standing/dash grab more range, pivot grab should have more range than standing grab
a lot less startup/endlag on razorleaf
less startup lag on upsmash
more damage/knockback on downsmash
bthrow needs more knockback
dthrow needs less knockback
dair needs more damage like in bbrawl
fair needs less startup lag
vinewhip doesn't produce fallstate

Charzard needs same buffs on flamethrower as bowser
dthrow needs more damage/knockback
less landing lag on fly

I agree that pokemon trainer should be kept the same as a character. Stamina should be the same, but switching should be almost instantaneous. Maybe PT should be able to switch in the air?

Charizard needs to not be able to swim. Rock Smash should break shields! F-Smash with Charizard could chain into a grab at low percentages. Earthquake should do some serious damage and have a larger range of attack.

Ivysaur could throw 2 leaves instead of 1 with Side-B. Bullet Seed could be directed with Ivysaur, left and right like Bowser can control fire. (Though it'd still be vertical, it'd be more diagonal than straight up).

Squirtle.. Waterfall needs to rise up. Oh, and his Side-B. Make that absurdly funny when people get hit by it. Crowd cheering, trip them, do a huge amount of damage and make Squirtle say something like: "Squirtle Squirt!" After that turtle sound, cuz that sound is funny.

I like the idea of having PT being able to instant switch and combo off of one another.

I think that change should be possible in the air, it may even make PT recovery more interesting.

I also think that they should complement each other in combos, such as squirtle is the combo starter, ivysaur continues, then charizard finishes. Could be complex aerial combos, or something as simple as

squirtle up-tilt x3 > instant switch > ivy bullet seed > instant switch > charizard up-smash

or if ivysaurs side-b knock the opponent towards you (which could work for continuing combos),

squirtle f-air > instant switch > ivy side-b > instant switch > charizard f-smash/ rock smash

it would sure give PT some interesting gameplay

There are a lot of people that would like to use only one pokemon. I think that we should support this while leaving the option to use all 3 open. This can be done by:

-Just like in Brawl+ we should give individual pokemon character slots as well as pokemon trainer.
-Pokemon trainer should have low stamina so that he has to switch often.
-individual pokemon should not have stamina and have their down B removed.

If things are done this way, People that want to main just one pokemon will be able to do so, and at the same time those that enjoy using all three pokemon will have that ability. This system would give some advantages and disadvantages for either choice, so it would introduce more strategy in how pokemon trainer is played.

There's no point in adding 3 extra characters when you can refresh your stamina in what, 6 frames (2x3 for 3 changes to get back to the start)?

The reason for adding the 3 characters is to satisfy the demand for it. Although Pokemon trainer can change easily to avoid stamina, it does force him to change which is the goal. In order to prevent Pokemon trainer from using one pokemon more than the others, we could change the rate at which resting pokemon restore their stamina. As it is now, they get 2 seconds for every second they aren't out, I think we should make it so that they only restore 1 second of stamina for every second they are resting.
