Cut down the start time on when the thunder comes out. make some early IASA frames so Pika still has the option to use the blue bolts. That's exactly how you would make it happen. I guess we'd have to try it. I'm just not sure of it because the mechanics of thunder seem like it wouldn't work. The way that the animation continues while moving seems to imply that it won't work. |

The last thing we need is more Thunder spam. And has anyone actually tried increasing the number of jumps for QA? I doubt it'll work. I think maybe giving Thunder 2 an extra effect, like stunning nearby opponents, would be a good touch, and maybe making Thunder Jolt just a tiny bit faster, but not enough to be spammable. Altogether though, I think the main changes should be to his normal moves rather than Specials. |

Some stuff that goes with the fast moving, 0-d idea. Make the last of his quick attacks (4 or 5 should be max i think although I too am not sure if multiple QA's is possible) do decent dmg and knockback, where the others don't. Make the first or 2nd of the QAs cancel into a couple of moves? Would be cool to go grab->various combo moves->QA to opponents position and end with kill move Edit: The obvious overkill would be canceling QA with grab, don't know if you'd want to go that far |

I definitely like seeing pikachu as a super quick character. Make him the anti-camper, or follower if you will. Making quick attack have more jumps could be cool and as said, of course make it at least IASA with aerials. I suggest no other changes to specials. However I'd like to see: damage on nair increased Landing lag on bair decreased A BUNCH! Somehow make dsmash not as DI-able jab should be able to get more hits Somehow make uthrow better. More hitstun probably. |

Jab having more hits as in, changing the move into an AAA instead of a rapid jab? We're trying to keep the characters' movesets the same, just better, not change them entirely. You can't really add hitstun, but Jump IASA on U-throw would make him able to follow up a lot more easily. |

Pikachu should be really unique in that QA Canceling should be a bigger part of his game, like, bigger than in vBrawl. It would be so amazing if he could do 6 QAs in one Up B, can you imagine the confusion?

Well by jabs I meant something like whenever you use it, more hits will connect. If you use it in regular brawl, anyone that can DI even decently will only take 2-3 hits from it. Either make it stronger or make it able to connect more times. Maybe extend the duration of the hitbox so that it forces the person to have near perfect timing? And yes yea Jump IASA on uthrow would be great. I just didn't know you couldn't change hitstun. |

Hey, I went through this thread and added a few of the changes to my own Pikachu project at kc-mm. It's mostly centered around reflecting Pokemon battle mechanics, but it seems broken enough for Brawl- with a few minor changes (courtesy of the people here). ![]() http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=4686.0 |

Actually TSON mentioned this. We might actually take that pikachu (if you give us permission, obviously) and use it. Seeing as nobody else is really working on Pika, AFAIK...

Go nuts. It's kind of silly to ask for permission, we're already illegally modifying trademarked intellectual property. It'd be wrong for me to take any credit at all. :D However, I'm still fully intent on my original idea of making Pikachu follow Pokemon Battle mechanics for the sake of my own Project. The changes I make to my own may not be suitable for B-. So go ahead and use mine as a base for the Brawl- version if needed. You may want to make minor changes such as giving UpB its hitboxes back, removing the self-damage from Nair, and anything else you may do that would break him. I wonder if I should make a Jigglypuff version. Think: DownB (Rest) recovers all damage, but you're in Super-Armor sleep for a while, which would let people beat you up without waking. Rollout (NeutralB)hits through people to allow multiple hits. Side B (Fire/Ice/Thunder-punch) cycles through the elements. But that idea's more suited to another thread. |

Screw them in that case. Anyhow, can't we just allow QA to be canceled by a jump at any time? Just don't make it possible to regain your second jump by doing this, and QA still goes to freefall when you phail. This makes a lot of things possible: - Aerial out of QA - Insane momentum stuff if you suceed - Four QA's in air - Etc. |

Just put no freefall after quick attack. Maybe it will work like lucario where you can up b from the ground and up b one more time.
