You did this in training mode, correct? Which means you are not counting DI, correct?

Well ![]() Yeah kind of d-tilt edge guard to f-smash. I mean like I think it would still work unless they have epic SDI or epic DI. It still get hit. Maybe making the tipper hitbox bigger. |

WHY DID YOU MAKE HIS D-TILT INTO A LAUNCHER!?!??!?!?!?!?!? Damn, I'm upset, I damit it. His i-tilt is a laucnher, his d-tilt is a gimp tool. Why did you remove the use of d-tilt? Ha has two good launchers: u-tilt and u-thrown. Why does he need d-tilt as a luancher? I really don't get it. |

I was so happy when it happened. cause I don't get them often with that precision. XD |

Here's a viable Marth combo: Any move ---> Any move ---> Any move ---> Floating forwards tipper Fsmash Death. Profit. ![]() It really doesn't matter if D-tilt sets up into Fsmash, which yes, it does as everyone has said. Because so does Fair, Dair while enemy is grounded at low-mid percents, U-tilt at low-mid percents, Side-tilt at low percents... The list goes on. And yet I STILL play Marth, and STILL feel good about myself when I pull off hawt combos. BUT DONT WORRY! At least I don't play Olimar or Ice Climbers! itsallbetter.jpeg |

Yeah... that's how it is. One of my roommates mains Marth and it's really silly how his everything hits into his anything with certain DI. Of course, Marth would be a dumb character if his move didn't combo. Yeah, "move." You know, the one where he slashes his sword? Marth is kind of a boring character to fight because when my face is getting combo'd to the blastzone and back with any other character, it at least looks cool. But with Marth it's just swish, swish, swish, swish swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish... He only has one thing but it's a really good thing. It gets really repetitive really fast but no matter how obvious it is it doesn't mean you can do anything about it. Don't think I'm trying to insult Marth or anything. I've played as him and against him enough times to know he's really good and comboing his moves make you feel really good just like anyone else. But playing against him is nearly Pit-level annoying because simply be existing Marth must spam: every single one of his inputs minus grab is "slash sword." ...Sorry, that was unfair. He can also stab. Swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish... |

I agree with you Thunda, and unfortunately that's just how Marth is. However, that doesn't mean that it doesn't require a decent amount of skill to pull off some of the better Marth combos. The best way to counter him is to just be a champ at ground-teching as well as not letting him read your DI. Or to just not fall victim to his approaches. Easier said than done of course. |
