From what I know about IL's smash scene in general we have very few players. I've played with a few of our guys in Melee, but rarely play that anymore because sadly I've grown bored of the game little. So I know I'm probably out of luck but are there any Illinois Project:M players? I'm dying to play this game with someone sometime after demo 2 comes out.

IL is one of the largest Midwestern smash communities, lol. Most of the melee tourneys are held around the chicago and glen ellyn areas. IL/WI Thread on SWF and be sure to check the Midwestern Tournament Section.

I live near Glen Ellyn, but aside from the tournaments Sveet hold I rarely see any smash activity inside this state (and traveling out of state is a bitch for me right now). I'll admit I haven't really been on SWF in over a year and a half, so maybe I've just been missing out since when I was looking constantly I rarely found anything except for Brawl which I have no interest in.

Yeah, IL pretty much has monthlies only and not frequent smashfests.

Also, there are ~12 smashers in the UIUC area, and at least triple that in U of C.

Is there anyone near the Chicago-land area or northern suburbs that would be willing to play? I go to Northwestern during the school year and live in Buffalo Grove. While I'm not going to be available for much of the summer, I'd be willing to Smash at Northwestern on the weekends.

Depending on what time in September, I'd be down to make a trip to the city and play with you guys as well, so you can go ahead and PM me as well whenever you're comin over and I'll see what I can do.

I'm in the South West suburbs (Downers Grove/ Woodridge area), and can get to Chicago pretty easily if anyone is interested. My current car situation and work situation can be limiting, but I'm always down to smash if I am free.

^ If that's the case we should try to work somethin out. I'm pretty close to Downers/Woodridge so that's normally real easy to get to.

^I would be cool with that. Once my schedule kinda clears up lol, working straight through next Saturday. Some time is bound to clear up soon-ish. I would just be starting school in September, so I will be downtown even more frequently, so a little smashfest would be awesome timing.
