This is more of an aesthetic suggestion than anything else. Everyone knows that Ganon has a sword, but never uses it. I was trying to think of a way to implement the sword into his move-set, without changing the stats or general flow of play. I think it would be cool if he used his sword for his down-smash. First, he would pull it out and hold it by his side. When you let go, it would hit in the same spots as his down-smash, and he would make a single, powerful rotation. Not only would this look cool (along with actually letting him use the sword), but it would also further separate him from Captain Falcon. Here's a poorly drawn diagram.

LMFAO! No, Ike crosses his hits. I'm pretty sure that Zelda just does a less fierce version of what Ganon does. What I'm talking about is more along the lines of a single arc/pivot. Erm....ugh. Maybe this'll help?

Sort of like Link's upB? I see no reason to change Ganondorf's down smash anyways. The animation may be similar to Captain Falcon's, but the way that it hits is different. Falcon's actually kills people on both sides, Ganon's first kick drags them into the second kick. |

No...more like Link's upB if anything, but angled downward more. And I know that the way it hits is different. I main Dorf and I wouldn't really want that to change. I just thought it might look cool.

Zelda spins around, with a low angle protrusion. That's what he wants.

I think I'm going to bookmark that second post. Feeling down? Ganon with banana will cheer me up! But as for an on-topic response, I feel like giving Ganon a sword for just one move is sort of pointless. If he's gonna use his sword (which I always thought he SHOULD), it should be used for specials at the very least, not just a random dsmash. EDIT: His name is Bananondorf. EDIT 2: That should be canon. ...Canondorf... I need to stop now. |
