I'll be updating the OPs as information comes in. This thread should be used for ideas and testing results for Kirby. Videos are appreciated. Proposed General Changes Stone start-up lag reduce, are gives invulnerability, but longer end lag (?) forward and back throws can suicide inhale keeps for longer (?) more airspeed less hammer start-up lag on ground inhale = heavy armor and more range. Powers are more insane than the character themselves harder to make kirby drop an ability upthrow stronger, kills earlier pummel +1 or 2% damage downthrow increases damage, constant knockback final cutter top hit spike is more epic Hammer is buffed with fire sidesmash has super armor and a bit more horizontal gain rapid jab 3 has double the range downtilt slides across the ground (changes edited in by DM) |

stone startup lag reduced fthrow and back throw should be able to suicide like in melee inhale should keep them in longer (for swallowcides) more airspeed less startup lag on ground hammer inhale should have heavyarmor and more range (but not as much as dededes) In general his copy attacks should be stronger and reflect the changes made to other characters It should be harder to knock abilities out of him uthrow should kill earlier |

(10% should do it just so it can fly through most jabs and light moves) vulcan jab (the repetitive attack after jab 2) should have a bit of extra range but deal a little more knockback so it's like a short range projectile. downtilt is his signature slide from most kirby games. |

I think that with kirby, we should make swallow worthwhile. How easy is it to buff the abilities kirby gets with his swallow? This idea comes form SSF2, another project I'm working on. Try kirby vs. ichigo, kirby vs. Naruto, or Kirby vs. Lloyd. You'll notice the matchup goes from decent to ridiculous when you get their abilities. In the ichigo matchup, kirby can fire off Ichigo's really strong and above all HUGE getsuga with ridiculous speed. In the Lloyd matchup, kirby can basically shorthop-B the opponent into oblivion, it's that good. In the Naruto matchup, Kirby gains the ability to summon a hitbox about twice his size in about... 1-2 frames? What if we could make kirby's swallow worth actually using instead of bad? Make the tornado he gains vs MK have a huge range and even sicker priority than MK's. Make his eruption ridiculously fast vs. Ike. Make his shieldbreaker actually have range. Make his arrows explode on contact. Stuff like that, along with buffing the move itself a lot and general knockback/damage buffs, and we could have a character who is ridiculously broken in every matchup... except the mirror. :V |

Cadet mah boi, that is absolutely brilliant. I AGREE OVER 9000 TIMES! lol btw, due to taunts becominf functional. the kirby dance (up taunt) should heal, the spinny thing (side taunt) should reflect while he's spinning, and the hi should just annoy people, so make him invulnerable while he does that one... or perhaps it can be so annoying it poisons them with a flower. XD |

because I want to try, everyone doesn't mind if I try doing some kirby with PSA do they? Probably be a good learning experience to get rid of the boredom. any "OBJECTION!"s?

Kirby's inhale should have suction power the size of FD. Not like really high suction, but just enough to suck your opponent towards you slightly and incite lulz.

Give Hammer a sweetspot on the backswing like in Melee. U-tilt should have a bit of IASA as well.

Videos are appreciated. lol. ok, make the stone completely broken then. and yes the power idea should be worked on well. if it's a projectile just make him use more or make him use it faster. if it can actually be edited like da tornado... bigger, faster, powerfuler, etc etc. so if you get spammed by it and you use kirby, if they get eaten, they better watch out. |
