CPUs learn to play by how you play and whoever you let play on your system plays. If you don't want him to be spammy, don't be spammy.

This has been long since disproven. The most a cpu can "Learn" is within an individual match. There is no piece of data to store "Learned CPU strategies." The AI more rather, has a few preset patterns decided when the match starts. This is how CPU's work in replays- instead of recording inputs as it does for players, it simply reloads the AI which will again do the same things it did in the match because it was predetermined to do so. |

CPUs do not learn from the players. At all. Also, for replays, it just saves the button presses and everything to the .bin file. It doesn't reload the AI.

The AI is a great imbalance detector. If it spams a move, there's usually something wrong with that move.

If it spams a move successfully, there's usually something wrong with the opponent. For Gandouken, you have to recognize the start-up animation, and run in quickly to punish it. Are there any other moves it spams? |
