I don't like the idea of random freeze, it interferes with combos

i'm going to say this again: i've already tried these edits in my psa climber. they do not ruin anything. there is practically no change. the only thing on the list i haven't actually tried myself is the freeze on the last hit of squall, which i hate to break it to you, has the same angle of knockback. the only difference with the addition of freezing is the opponent can't DI till after they get out. i promise, anything you think will happen won't.

You can't combo someone who is frozen, they take the damage and continue falling. Squall is a beast combo starter.

you don't seem to understand the part about them getting out of the ice instantly. all the freezing will do is make it so they can't DI the attacks. i can see how that would be bad on nair, so at the very least it needs an icy GFX added to it on hit. having the last hit of squall freeze though makes it easy to see where they will be and then follow up accordingly.

You cannot combo someone who is in ice. You cannot get out of ice instantly unless you are hit by a fire attack soon afterward.

have you every tried making a hitbox do 3 damage and have an ice effect? they really do pop out practically instantly. actually try it.

ICs blizzard? It still takes some time, and the fact that they basically get a free "hop" out of it doesn't make it help combos really

Guys, relax. You obviously have different playstyles when it comes to IC, and the option which eliminates as few options as possible is preffered to allow a more wide variety of playstyles. I don't play IC, so I cannot answer the question, but you guys should be able to.

you have two climbers, use them to desync. thats were 90% of their "combos" come from anyway: having one climber do something while the other sets up for the receive. the added benefit of freezing the person means they can't DI the freezing hitbox and it sets them up in the same location every time for the next attack. i say nair may be debatable because its very rare that the other climber will be above you to abuse the setup. as for squall freezing, you get the same knock up with the before mentioned benefits.
