Did Ness get any buffs? I haven't heard of any changes outside of Bair and BThrow nerf.

The bair change is ridiculous. Seriously, it's so gay. I'm pretty sure it's better than 1.5 Wolf's was.

Dude..... Ness is freaking crazy now. Just try to get those DJC ground combos and sweetspot his bat. Killed my friend playing DK at 0% (off the blastzone) by going: DJC Nair > DJC fair > jab1,2,3 > DJC Nair > Bat So basically what I'm saying is, Ness doesn't need any buffs if you can play him correctly/better. Just remember that he can DJC. |

He WAS even crazier in the 1.6, but I guess he's still alright now.

Ness isn't good enough. He is obv. the worst_character_in_game.jpg Make PK Flash comboable from every single move. Even, no, especially D-Tilt. |

I would really love some sort of changelist. It doesn't have to be all like "angle buffed from 55 to 45 damage nerfed from 4-3-2-2-2 to 3-2-2-2-1" but something along the lines of "we made the angle lower but made it deal less damage" would be really nice. I'm sure I still don't know half the changes. ANYWAY... Ness' bair sweetspot/sourspot was always more timing then positioning, really. You could get nonsensical sweetspots in vbrawl, too. I'm kind of fine how it is, but I'm also fine if people want it changed. I stopped playing Ness when he started being really, really powerful because my fight buddies are total whiners. However, I am still as angry as ever about that bthrow. I'm a broken record at this point, but I can't stand that move being that much weaker then vbrawl. I know, I know, Ness can combo into his grab off of basically everything now but I personally don't think 110% is too OP of a kill percentage, especially with the crazy throws some characters have. One of the reasons I liked Ness was his awesome throws. Partially because it was fun playing a low-teir character that still could toss around statistics like "Highest BKB throw and highest KBG throw" (not to mention "highest BKB meteor") but still. An individual move weaker then its vbrawl version? Justified in some cases, but here it shouldn't happen. |

Buffing the areas that are not good is fine. He needs an even moveset, not OP moves. I'd like a d-tilt nerf, but I think the aerials need less lag.

I'd say that goes for everyone. (the even moveset thing, not the land lag.) No character should have just a few moves that overshadow the others; each move should be the best move for at least one situation, otherwise there is no reason to have that move. Now, I am okay if this move is best for only one very specific and slightly stupid situation (read: screwing over Snake's C4 recovery with the windbox of Ganondorf's utilt in vbrawl) because I find that kind of creative thinking absolutely wonderful, but if something is that esoteric it runs the risk of not actually being the best option (read: Minus Ganon's spiking capabilities.) And no, no matter how awesome, I don't count Ganondorf's utilt as a good move even if it is the hand-down best option if you find yourself standing on a rolling crate. |

That's why Ganon needs rolling crates. Edit: and Ness doesn't need landing lag. |

Ganon with rolling crate spawning capabilities would be the greatest thing ever even though it probably wouldn't be. I mean, now that you can cancel utilt into other stuff... dang. If you thought his fsmash hitbox was big before, imagine it while Ganon is rocketing across the stage. Incredible. OH WAIT THIS IS THE NESS BOARDS. Uhh... must say something on topic... Uhh... Ness' taunts should have hitboxes! Yeah! This will certainly improve the character at a competitive level. |
