Is it just me or does doing the SHDL seem quite a bit harder than in melee? I know u guys transferred over exact physics and whatnot, but it's very hard to do now for some reason. Please give some feedback besides "learn to play, n00b".

It is only harder because of landing detection. You land earlier in brawl due to landing on your feet rather than your shins like in melee. Hence why it's slightly harder to do SHDL in PM.

It's more than slightly harder, now it's almost impossible. Is it possible to fix the landing detection? (I'm saying this because I know that there are some things that you guys can't fix)

It's a 3 frame window, that's not impossible.

okay i will practice more, but once again, is it possible to fix landing detection? and is the 3 frame window based on melee frame data? |

The PMBR has been working on trying to fix landing detection for over a year. To put it bluntly, you sound a bit demanding and condescending when you ask if it's possible to fix, as if the devs haven't thought of doing so yet. It's one thing to just ask if it's been fixed, but another to gripe about it not being so. No hard feelings mind you, I'm perfectly happy and just thought you might want to know for the future c: |

Mwh. I would say landing detection, until I realized that even if it is that, I couldn't do a SHDL anyway. And then I realized that I hate Melee fox. Cause, like, I have no one to play with physically...so the CPU is all I got to main Falco/Wolf/Lucas/half of the total cast against.

It actually doesn't go as badly if you know the right people. Like, I was playing w/ the creator of fsmash (aka the dead-for-hacks friend finder) p.i., and it was a bit laggy on his side until a few minutes in, then it went fine. But yes, I unfortunately do know how that can go. But I'm available always in the weekends, and maybe in weekdays. So....yeah.

The reason I use wi-fi is cause I can't do tourneys. Chicago,Illinois people. Yeah, come here for a non-existent smash scene. But to your suggestion, yes we should play P:M sometime.

The SHDL is actually pretty easy if you assign one of the triggers to B. That way you don't need to switch finger placement and execution becomes an issue of timing alone. This works for me ~60% of the time and I'm not that good (can't waveshine for example). What I find hard to do is the Reverse SHDL. I often end up having to attempt emergency over-B cancels. |

BTW, i can really tell the difference between demo 1 and 2. The SHDL is ridiculously easy.
