If I may suggest a new form of recovery...

![]() Mario's current recovery in 1.6 is really kind of "meh" to me. I mean cool, it goes higher and you can change the trajectory mid-way.... but that's about it. You need to make sure you're holding up the entire time, too. It's not all that awesome IMO. :l With this, Mario can use a single Up B and use an aerial instead of going into special fall. Then he can, at any point afterwards, use Up B again to aid his recovery with the sacrifice of going into special fall afterwards. Granted, this change makes Cape kills even cheaper, but I think it's quite worth it compared to what he's got now. This came from my personal Mario hack, in case you're wondering. The "pick up item" codes are kind of out of a "Hey, Mario's stealing lunch money, why not let him steal items." kind of idea. |

I was actually thinking about something like that with separating the two Up-Bs. To me it seemed a little weird if he could just use an Up-B and go back to falling, but I kind of like it. What do you think about having the actual Up-B be fair/uair/walljump interruptable and having the other part be usable later? |

I'm personally a bit uncomfortable not being able to dodge when I can use an aerial, though. I'd say the walljump interruption is definitely a delicious idea. |

Yeah, there's no reason Mario shouldn't be able to walljump out of an Up-B. I'm all for giving him more offstage movement, so this sounds great to me.
