I only really have 1 idea, but there are no threads about Marth. After going to a tournament and getting my *** raped, I decided to step up my game with fancy AT's and stuff. One of my favorite tricks is to on Smashville, platform cancel with dair, run off the platform, and B-Reverse Shield Breaker. The only problem is that aerial Shield Breaker is considerably different from grounded or vBrawl. My suggestion is to make holding shield while performing aerial Shield Breaker make you do the actions and subactions for Grounded Shield Breaker while in the air. I hope you understand what I'm talking about. |

So if you hold shield you don't accelerate in air.

Yeah. Although I thought the offensive collision might be different, and I can't check because I don't have PSA on the laptop I'm using. |

Filbert, I understand what you're saying, but what purpose would this serve? If your opponent is close enough to hit them with Shield Breaker without moving forward, then why would you even want to use Shield Breaker as opposed to Nair or Fair (something that would start a combo). Shield Breaker without charge is a pretty weak move and there is no way your opponent is going to get hit by a charged Shield Breaker. Were you thinking use a non-accelerated Shield Breaker to poke their shield (if they are grounded) and then land right in front of them and tipper Fsmash to break their shield? |

If they shield, you do a lot of shield damage and, since it's interruptable almost instantly, easily followable. I would like uncharged Shield-Breaker to do more shield damage also. I'd be fine if the collision did less than 3%, because I never use it (uncharged) to attack. If you were able to stop the momentum, it would be decent for mindgames and shield pressure/breaking.

Ah yes, mind games. Now that I imagine in my head how an unaccelerated Shield-Breaker would look, it would provide some nice mind games. I don't think Shield-Breaker needs any more shield damage honestly. Any time I manage to hit someone with a flying Shield Breaker and cancel it into a Fair or Nair, it almost always breaks their shield. *gasp* I just thought of another crazy idea while we're on the subject. What if his ground Shield Breaker were cancel-able! That could provide for some wacky shit. Like a stab at them with Shield Breaker cancelled into a forward-floating Fsmash! I might actually use grounded Shield Breaker then. But anyways, I'm all for the unaccelerated Shield-Breaker, Filbert. Props on the cool idea. |

I like that. Grounded Shield-Breaker should be (on contact only) interruptable.
