About the channel: mind uploading anything about Wario? I'm pretty curious about that.

Reading that 2.0 may be the final release is deeply saddening. Project:M may have a ton of hype, but it's minus I love. You guys are pushing NEW ideas into Smash; don't let that die just because old ideas are more popular.

Hell, you made Falcon Punch more usable than it's ever been. That change alone impacts Falcon tremendously. Add that to the tank bowser, who's the most standout character in terms of matchups, or Ike, who no longer has to focus on abusing all 2 of his unpunishable moves, or Ganondorf, who finally has the oomph to be the fear-inspiring badass he's meant to be.

You guys are making a Smash game that not only holds up, but shines at both the competitive and casual levels. And even beyond that, it has a sense of personality and love for the game that I've not seen anywhere else. Don't let that go.

It's too good to die.

Aw, yeah. You nearly made me cry, bro. Don't let that go, indeed.

I respect that you're taking time to try to make everything right, but the only way to correct balance issues is by testing them. If nothing else, you ought to acquire more trusted beta testers that you can discuss things with on a more regular and equal basis without all the unsavory types on the forum riling you up.

You're also right about not updating too much: too many changes too fast prevents a mature meta game from developing and therefore prevents making the correct balance decisions. Not updating enough is an issue too, though. These forums are full of so much theory to pick and choose from if you don't get out a mass test on SOMETHING, no one will ever be able to see what works and what doesn't. It also stagnates the ideas if they're all left untested. Don't work to make 2.0 anything more then version 2.0 of the beta. Don't go for the hole-in-one on this project: it needs to be big swings followed by putts, and though you may have not liked it, the 1.5 -> 1.6 putt was an extremely good move that helped the project immensely. Out of a sand trap, if you want to continue the golf analogy. You're making another big swing here, but don't rush it to the hole. You've got about Par 60 to work with, and I hope you use every last swing.

We all love you guys and what you're doing. That's why we're here. I'm willing to help you in any way I can. I've got a capture card, recording software, and a lot of love for you guys and this project, so if you you want it I'll help you in any way I can. I'm sure anyone else on the forums would say the same as well.

Good luck, and stay broken!
