Is Sonic 1.6 too gay?

|
I figured there are people who feel this way. why? what makes him too good in your opinion, with everything in this game that is minus? is he too fast? too strong? explain here, and if you think he should be nerfed, where and why?

He is too strong that is why he is getting redone. See these 1.6 moves: dtilt doing 18%, Bair doing 23%, etc.

i hope you are not saying that he isn't allowed to have any strong moves. bair at 23 is too much, perhaps, but how far are you trying to nerf that, for example? also, is his speed a problem in your opinion? by that i mean his 1.6 speed?

Sonic can have strong moves, but some of the moves he has now just don't fit him. And they also don't make sense. Dtilt is fast, great range, spammability, and all sorts of uses. Why does it do 18%? A move like that is supposed to be a combo starter, not a damage wracker. The glass canon archetype doesn't really fit sonic. And even if it did, 18% is just dumb. Sonic is not only OP in some aspects, but he's overall poorly designed. And as a sonic main of renown(Speed spoke highly of you and attributed his skills greatly to you) I would hope you'd appreciate a sonic which better reflects the character's origins. Though I can't blame you for worrying about an overnerf, so please try to work with us on this if you are able. Despite you not being broom, you are the best available sonic- so I believe if you requested it, the privilege of testing newer sonics could be yours. Though do not consider my words the words of the entire broom. It is just a suggestion. |

I'm not a dev and I enjoy the new sonic. So did everyone who tested it at the last tournament(though i think they might of just liked a nerfed sonic after speed crushed us xD I don't even think anyone took a game off him) His new bair is something I think you'll appreciate. |

Sonic should be broken with combos and speed, not power, it doesn't make sense for his character...

Didn't know that. im a bit biased because a better version of sonic was like a breath of fresh air like you wouldn't believe. but as a sonic main what is important to me isn't the raw power, its the mobility and flexabililty that sonic has. Sonic was always able to hide his intentions in regaurds to his approach, and that for the most part is why hes not garbage tier in vbrawl. but that power makes it scary. even then he was never considered the best so im wondering if the developers may overdo it with the changes. the fact that they are basically building him from scratch to me is the indication of such, however so far for the build i have it doesn't seem that bad. yet. then again i dont know what changes have been made to that test build since then, if any... |

Afaik he is unchanged since your sonic 1.7 test vid. Tremendade, that is what we are planning on doing.

The new Sonic is cool, but once you realize that it's totally safe to spam bair, he gets boring. Bair is a combo move, a spacing move, a gimping move and a killer. Plus, spamming it is safe.
