Spam that all fight and then use UP smash, and you pretty much win. Anyone else notice this?

It's good, but seeing as we have not really had that many high-placing TLs in B- tournaments, and that it's easily beaten by a good projectile or a well-placed down air... Probably not.

Haven't had anyone spam it against me yet (since I have no one to play against...), but I think it's fine. Increasing the amount of time TLink stalls after using the move might make it more punishable, but I doubt that it needs such a nerf...until proven otherwise.

It can only move horizontal. A down air or projectile works and it's also not very hard to powersheild. It's only had to punish if it's fully charged or close to it.

My friend used to do that until I discovered how badly Sheik shuts him down. A way to fix it could be either A: only let him move when it is fully charged B: More endlag (maybe even the end of the animation for his slashy taunt thing) |

I'd say it's fine how it is.

Use Filbert's idea. We don't need ANOTHER whorenado clone, for real. |

I'm a real life friend of Mytheos's and I feel the need to clarify some points. The matches that originally involved the discovery of the "OP" Up-B involved a significantly better player beating two significantly worse players. While the inevitable response will be "well, he only used two moves - how could that possibly be his skill over the other players!?" Here's how: The player in question is very good at reading people and the other players are very much charge in and attack type players. Nothing wrong with this type of player, but when pitted against someone who knows what they're going to do, of course a good move hurts them. I'm willing to bet any money that using MK the same player could have raped them even worse using just tornado and down smash. This move is not a god move. It can be predicted and it can be punished. Option 1: Come at it from above. This doesn't work with all characters because it does have an upward hit box as well, but any character with a sword or disjointed hit boxes (which is a significant portion of the roster) should be able to accomplish this no problem). Option 2: Projectiles - yes TL can move and chase you. Run from him. Use the air, platforms, etc. Option 3: Shield and punish. Yes it can do some significant damage to a shield, however being a player of TL I can assure you that it is shieldable in full and the end lag on the move is long enough that it IS indeed punishable. All it takes is some prediction. IF a nerf is necessary (and I'm not convinced it is) I would suggest two things: 1. Make the upward hit box smaller. It doesn't need to hit over top of TL, this would make coming at it from above safer for more characters. 2. Lower the shield damage it does. You can fully shield it currently, but I will admit that it can take a pretty huge toll on your shield if you aren't rationing your shield use (which, while I am not the best at rationing my shield use - is something you probably should be doing). |
