freshly downloaded/hacked my wii with homebrew channel n all that, whenever i get to the stage select screen on brawl- it freezes with a loud buzzing sound. I have a couple character textures in to see if they would work.

my SDcard looks like this:
apps
codes
private
riivolution
config.dat
gameconfig.txt

Are you using 2.x.4 or the version currently on the download page? If you're using 2.x.4 then it's likely your SD card. We're not entirely sure why certain SD cards lock up, but people with the same problem have switched to a new SD card with the exact same files as their previous one and it's worked fine.

BPC is a tad lax on updating our download page.

If you're using an old build, backup your textures and music, delete everything else, and download the new version from the announcement on the smashmods frontpage.

I actually deleted my "fighter" folder and switched it with a clean one and it works now. However, whenever I try to put any type of character texture in it still freezes at stage select.

That's an issue with whatever texture you're using, not minus.

I've tried it with multiple textures and I always get the same result.

I have working textures so I really don't know what could be causing that.

I'll look into it of course but don't expect much.

Would it be because of the wrong CodeMngr code or something?

If you're using the public download it wouldn't be.
