especially with that Psi Magnet. Giving it a constant hit, energy absorption, AND awesome combo setups? P:M Team, you almost make this boy too good this time around with that move alone! Anyway, this thread is the Demo 2 Lucas appreciation thread. This kid be wack, yo, and I love it. |

Lucas is like, the only person I'm having trouble trying to break down. Ironically, he's the person I played with most in P:M Demo 1. He's a very good char, but idk how his set-ups work, especially with his Down-B. The things i'm mostly seeing as weird are his New U-Tilt/DAir/Bair. He's been changed from an average character to Kid Flash with no range. Which I'm fine with, I guess. I would like this thread to be an appreciation/strategy-talking thread if it gets off, though. I know I'd need strategy talking since I'm playing like 1/2 of the Demo 2 cast.

You know what's nice/easy serious damage at lots of different percents? Dash Attack > OU UpSmash. Dash Attack also follows up his regular jab combo pretty nicely if you get that off. Bap-Bap-Bap-Bwap-BAM! Down B has a smaller range, so I haven't quite figured out a way to really utilize it mid-combo. It's just a nice catch-all if they let their guard down. I'm SURE it's got good combo applications, just not entirely sure where yet. |

Well, ok, maybe I worded that wrong SHeLL. I play with Marth, so I have a weird definition of "disjointed" since that's who I worry about the most. Also, LOVING that new jab, along with everything else you gods did to Lucas. |

I play lucas just like falco. e.g. down-b>Uair/bair/dair, also add that you can pillar just like falco. xD His wavedash is so nice as well. It's quick and long. ![]() I also love how is down-b can hurt them as you keep it out. Everything about him is just awesome. |

I like Lucas, but he feel's kinda awkward to handle -- he falls fast now, and you can see it in his second jump and after his up-b, it just feels unnatural and i have really found out how to use him well

His game is more close to the ground rather than up high. Which leads to annoyance with the multi-jump characters (ex: DDD, Puff, etc.) His aerials L-cancel soo quickly that you can follow up with so many moves right after. I feel that the second jump is really for DJCing. You can recover with his tether. He's a fast character. Try to utilize his psi magnet a lot more. You can jump right out of it but there is a slight delay because u gotta wait til the psi magnet comes out. Try dash dancing and wavedashing. It's soooo great and smooth. His DACUS is very long and fast as well. so use that as an advantage. |

Lucas is so boss in this game now. when i wanna combo with downb, i usually do jump>downb>djc uair or fair>downb>wavedash back>uair but most of the time, im using utilt, dash attack or down throw to set them people up for combos |

First of all, thanks for posting those images. Information is power. Secondly, I understand that the radius line of those hitboxes is knockback direction, but what's the difference between the color of the boxes, the star in the middle, and the dotted outline? Also, would I be able to look at all of this information if I downloaded brawlbox and looked at the P:M files? I'm generally ignorant as far as brawl modding goes, but my interest has begun to pique. |

Dashed outlines are transcendent. The star means it's Sakurai angle. |

I miss his PK fire and PK freeze. I wrecked people with the PK freeze. I had like a 99% accuracy with it. I think his new neutral-B move is pretty interesting though. But I also feel that it should charge up his b moves as well. Especially the side-b move, so that when fully charged it would actually freeze whoever it hits for a little while. And not freeze them like pk freeze does.. something more like how sub-zero freezes people in mortal kombat so you can attack them while theyre frozen. |
