Falcon's throws

Two things I noticed when watching JC's stream:

1. Falcon's bthrow sends the opponent all the way down, I'm not sure if this is bad DI but it looked ridiculous. I remember Falco having the exact same issue on some of the older vids.
2. Falcon's dthrow bounces the character up more than usual. Falco is a heavy character and should land sooner. This kinda screws with my timing which is essential for melee falcon's tech chase game.

I hope that these issues will be looked into.
Overall Captain Falcon is looking pretty solid Smile

Oh and if you guys can get stickywalking working, I will donate 10$ Tongue

1. I'll recheck the stats when I get a chance but I'm pretty sure it's exactly Melee.
2. That might be landing detection. Falco is not a heavy character btw. He's quite light.
3. Stickywalking does work. CTL who I play with sometimes does it a lot. I have no idea how to do it though so don't ask me.

Woops, I mean he has a fast falling speed. I thought landing detection was fixed btw?

landing detection is fixed, but some moves on characters cause them to "double land". Falco has not had his double landing fixed yet so that may be what you are talking about.

Well weren't some throws changed or whatever so you can't CG people as much in PM?

Uh... not Falcon's throws... only Sheik's Dthrow.

Secondly, Cortex, I don't think any of us can really answer your question about Falcon's Dthrow other than Magus. For Bthrow, I'm going to say right now that what you saw was either bad DI or the Bthrow has not had its angle changed to 45º like it is probably supposed to be (since... DI is fixed all angles we changed to 40º have to be readjusted to 45º if they were 45º in Melee and we haven't done that for everyone yet).

Just an FYI to both Monk and JCz: This was him commenting on what he saw in JCz's stream the other night (when Thunderhorse was over), not the demo.

this is simply false. the kb values, damage, and angles are all ported directly from Captain Falcon's Melee character file. Perhaps they DI'd inward rather than outward, but it's the same.
