Lucario:
- GIVE HIM THE OLD UP B BACK. Or at least a compromised version. 1.5 up B is balls.
That's IT. Literally the only change this character needs is not garbage recovery. I heard Pierce expressing concern over its "stalling capability", and if that's a genuine issue then just leave it at a healthy medium between the two.
How is it balls?
I thought it was encroaching upon being OP imo.
I hardly know lucario, though.
1.5 up B requires him to hit with the up B hitbox in order to do momentum-boosting aerials for it.
He's trash offstage now.
Man, pre-1.0, I was pushing for IASA to only be on the frame after it slows down. But TSON didn't listen, as always :V
P.S.: ESpeed has ISJR right now, regardless of hitting somebody.

hes up b is amazing!!! man you trippin!
What are you talking about Willis? His Up-B is a good attacking move, kind of a bad recovery option. However, Lucario is very floaty and has good jumps.
I gave what I thought was a good idea about his recovery, Rkey and I got into an argument, we finally understood each other, then nobody cared. If anybody looks back at my idea, I think that my idea along with having Up-B send him farther would make it a solid move. Very good, but not OP.
uh, if we did that, he would be able to stall, he would also be able to recover from basically anywhere, and he wouldn't be able to use upB offensively as well as he does now
no thx
1.5 upB is actually pretty decent if you jump after upB instead of before it.

i agree completely
How would he be able to stall? How would he be able to recover from anywhere?
He could use it just as well offensively because he would interrupt it when he hits. Keep the momentum the same, just make it so it lasts longer.
None of those three reasons made any sense to me. Perhaps you could explain them?
We can't have both. It'd be OP.
been a while since doom had a not fucking retarded idea
1.5 up B really isn't that good...but uh, whatever.
Well, i think it's pretty good as an attack... but it's really just dumb push + knockack for easy ass hits and difficult to follow up.
It isn't a bad move, it isn't a great move. I think it's better used sparingly unlike how much people spammed it in 1.0
Lucario is a beast and i see little reason to buff him right now.
Lucario simply cannot recover anymore. He just needs to be able to do that and he's fine. You can nerf or even remove up B's offensive properties altogether if you want, but he NEEDS to recover.
Would adding more length or momentum to the end of his upB help?
It's just the ability to have his aerials move him out of it. If they moved him too much in 1.0, which I kinda agree with, then fine. Make it slightly less than that.
It was a huge defense against gimping. Lucario's BIGGEST weakness now is off the level.
You make a good point about the length.
Now that i think about it, his edgeguarding is probably the most risky right now since if he uses a second jump, he'll have trouble recovering.
I'll have to test with the length a bit. But i don't think gimping should be something too hard to do when he can do it so easily to others.
If you upB -> jump you cover more distance and can airdodge to avoid being hit should it come to that. If they try to gimp you out of your upB, then you can recover like 1.0 lol.
Yeah but if you use both your jumps trying to edgeguard, and get edgeguarded yourself, you may not make it back.
but his recovery is not NEARLY as bad as doom as making it sound. i can tell even without testing.
Isaac, unless he hits you with his up B, he has vBrawl recovery.
vBrawl Lucario recovery in a game where everyone has improved edgeguarding = LOL. TSON, if people do what you say and up B before using their jump, that still doesn't help. The hitboxes above Lucario's head on up B are small and make him extremely prone to being edgeguarded from above. The ones on the side are still able to be hit by sword characters and other massively disjointed ones like Ivysaur and Charizard.
