I had this too. For whatever reason, my savefile for the game thought that the main theme for SSBB had a slider there... Get a 100% complete savefile and replace your old one. There are threads with similar problems in the help section. Just to make it clear, this has nothing to do with Project M. It's strictly a "SSBB is retarded" issue.

I had the same problem but always assumed it was a disc defect. Until my Wii quit reading the disc and it kept happening in USB loader.
This works:
You only need to load the game with it once and can get rid of it and/or bring back your other codeset once it's working again.

False, it's caused by certain codes corrupting the save file.
Whether or not those codes are in Project M or not I have no idea.
I certainly have not had this problem.
