Bowser is very fun to play. I expect him to be many people's "fun alternate character not in tournaments". It might be cool if I could learn to use him on a serious level, but it's too early to tell whether I'll stick with him or not.
In friendlies last weekend, my favorite team (and most successful) was Bowser + Zelda.

Both Bowser and Zelda rape in teams, so that makes a lot of sense

Bowser is surprisingly good in teams.
His main weakness of not being able to catch people is partially down played and he likes to focus on edgeguarding.
Strong at KO'ing, controls space well, doesn't need to combo

Opinions on best ways to use Fsmash?

Amusing note on Bowser vs Ike; if he counters your fsmash, the armor on fsmash will ignore the counter swing. Bowser will still take the damage, but no knockback will happen. Lol

All the time. Actually being serious though, going for hard reads with Bowser is too good. Work off of the fear factor

Aside from the obvious recovery punishments, it's good on tech predictions I suppose, and if you read an action from the ledge (>100% is easier) since armor allows you to cover both regular getups and getup attacks. There are definitely better options to cover the ledge though.

When anyone is around that 30% mark (or whenever it would kill the character) and you've hit their shield with something anywhere near the ledge at all.
If they do anything out of their shield to punish you that isn't a WD grab or very fast attack, they'll be hit. Even if they're easily able to avoid it with something like a full jump or going backwards for the ledge, those are risky and put them in hopefully worse positions. They can't shield it so they have to do something.
Otherwise, if they just avoid you and punish you, the reward for hitting someone with a Fsmash near the edge of a stage and either killing them (or close, or breaking their shield) at the 30% mark is worth almost any punishment they can do to Bowser, with exceptions.
Aside from that, simple things like wavelanding on platforms into one when they're forced to tech around that 30% aren't too risky either. If you miss, they have to grab or hit you upwards or you're a lot harder to chase off the punish since you can fall to the ground or they have to maneuver over terrain. Using any time at higher or lower % often leaves better options, but there are times where it's nice to try.

What else would people do? Well, besides jump out of the way.

If any other time in the match the instance where you have landed a Fair on their shield, and they tried to do that, only for you to UpB to counter their fast thing and move to the edge behind them, then they should be hesitant to do so.
If they aren't afraid to attack you after a fast aerial, then you have to establish yourself that way by getting both yourself and them accustomed to UpBing to the edge you're near as a hole covering offensive maneuver. This is safe and easy at all times, and it's threatening. Even if they jump out of the way, they have to get away from the edge or Bowser can punish their landing fast enough. Another option would be Side B, as its armour is very early and they have to grab, or else.

Tricking them to come towards you with or juking a hitbox is one of the good ways to capitalize with this move.
As good as forward smash is, I don't think it should be something that Bowsers should concentrate on. Its not a centerpiece to his game.

hmmm
I've gotta try that
I've heard BagGuy (a playtester) roars when playing Bowser - it might be pretty effective

I'm gonna try to get 10+ bowser matches uploaded soon if I can. It's already a saved stream, it just needs to be chopped up and uploaded. Saved recording should be somewhere in here: http://www.twitch.tv/standardtoaster I forgot what time I started using bowser, but the stre was split in two and the second portion starts out with me using bowser.

i like how bowser can do his up b on the ground and slide onto the edge
its really cool that in PM u can do it while facing towards the stage due to the fact that most characters can grab the ledge backwards now. it makes it faster

I believe Bowser can grab the edge while facing it in Melee as well but with a greater difference in technique and timing
Nothing new, just more practical I think

If it interests anyone, his usmash has light armor while charging, and spikes/meteors when he comes back down from the little hop he does.

I love the change to dtilt, it's a very nice move now. Seems like it's a good move against dashdancing. It has great range without being too punishable on whiff. Obviously also nice as an edgeguard.
