I googled it before i posted this.
WOW port affects a pretty big chunk of random factors.
would be cool if when you both grabbed at the same time it canceled out like in SF4
I wondered about port priority in P:M. Is anything being done to change it?
I doubt it's reverted to Melee. In melee, the smaller your player number, the higher your priority. Brawl applies the same but in reverse.
I believe it has been said that, since it's so rare, removing it is not really a priority (Emoti-:V).
tehe pun. but the thing that really bothers me is that in most fighting games if u both try to grab at the same time it cancels the grab and u both kinda get pushed back. in smash tho 1 player just gets the grab. seems kinda minor but i remeber in smash 64 its MAJOR haha
How Port Priority works in Brawl does not really use port priority always as the same thing.

In some situation the smaller number has the priority, on others it's the bigger number.
Why? Why?!? That makes no sense.
>Brawl
i dont see why they ever used this system in smash ever, its so arbitrary and random and it affects alot
Better that it affects things in different orders rather than have one port be strictly better.

I'm curious as to what motivates you to keep posting. -6 and counting.

By all means, please continue.
Guys, can we not ridicule blink every time he post please? It's getting a little old. If he post something dumb, ignore it, if he post something worthwhile respond to it. It shouldn't be that hard but almost everywhere I see a blink post the next few post are talking about blink.

Anyway, I think grab priority working the way it does is a good thing. If there has to be something like that in the game, may as well try to balance it to be as fair as possible. It mostly just means we're going to continue to have port priority rules that people are already used to.
Why do you think port priority is a good thing ?
I don't think port priority existing is a good thing, but if it has to exist I'd rather have it try to exist evenly than be one sided. My bad on not being clearer.
Yeah, sorry. I just realized that this was what you meant. I was coming back to edit my post.
Is grab teching not a viable possibility?
Probably not considering how hard that would be to code.

To make it even though, might it be possible for grab priority to vary from character to character? If so that could be a way to balance it.
