This might be a blast from the past, but I'll go for it anyways. In a stream of yours, you mentioned someone telling you ROB is able to grab people while holding the spinner by performing a melee pivot grab. You then proceeded to cry about your inability to do this like a little girl.

Figure it out? Still in? How in the fuck?
I'm pretty sure it's still possible, and no, I still suck at Melee pivots.
yo, pivots are hard.
I prefer to just turn around shine out of a dash dance and then shien->grab, but its slower and doesn't work so well... rob also isn't fox... so....
my post is relatively uninformative and kind of pointless.
feel free to ignore.
I prefer to short hop wavebounce gyro cancel side-B autocancel bair.
But that's just me.
welp...
i don't really know what a wave bounce is, but sounds cool.
Isn't it that just a B reversal?
No. You maintain the same direction you originally had but reverse your momentum.
Well now I'm highly confused. Someone want to go into more detail with this "wavebounce?"
Just a silly Brawl AT

an explanation for us melee kids with next to no brawl experience would be nice.
also lol brawl ATs. there are like... three.
Depending on what ever Brawl ATs are in the P:M it's still nice that they're there. Gives us Melee players some new stuff to work on/with and it let's Brawl players in the game a little easier.
yea i didn't say that it wasn't cool to have even more techs.
the phrase "brawl AT" just caught me off guard a little bit.
There are a slew of ATs in brawl. The game engine might be death to competitive play, but the game still contains some quirky movement options.
Wavebouncing is a technique usually attributed to Lucas and shares some similarities to reversing specials. Mains sometimes assign the C-stick to special to facilitate the input. Here's a good video of how it looks like:

Oh no, I wasn't judging your post Aesir, your post wasn't even up while I was typing mine.
And I recall doing that a few times with Lucas to run and grab the ledge in demo 1
wavebounces don't seem very hard....
So how does ROB's gyro function when sent out at full charge? And his fully charged lasers? Also curious if I'm correct that the best position to be is under ROB.
Gyro works just like Brawl except it doesn't travel as far from the initial shot (and since the damage of the initial shot is directly tied to velocity, it does a bit less).
Laser works just like Brawl except it gets to full charge in 3/4 of the time.
And yeah, ROB's weak spot is still beneath him, but side-B at least gives him a new tool for escaping those situations.
